On June23, 2008, city staff and members of the community unearthed the original Tukwila Time Capsule referenced on the cornerstone. On September 12 2009, a second time capsule was buried beneath the seal information and items symbolic of this period in Tukwila's history.  Most probably the future officials will open open the vault and Time Capsule in the year 2033, and that this process will continue every 25 years.
